"We champion the absolute best in Canadian craftsmanship," Bob states. Putting The Arrow’s purchasing motto "Serving up the Best of Locally Crafted Foods & Beverages!" into practice The Group has quickly become "preferred clients" to many select breweries and suppliers. The Arrow has continually focused on the quality of its products, a strong commitment to exceptional service and the local environment. Customers quickly embraced
The Arrow concept and have fueled the company’s growth in Southern Ontario.

The FutureThe Arrow has recently embarked on an expansion program by offering an opportunity to qualified individuals to become an Arrow Licensed Publican. The Arrow Neighbourhood Pubs achieve excellence through an ongoing commitment from Home Office support for its licensed operators by offering: site selection, design and construction, extensive training, on-site opening assistance, constructive pub visitations, continuous updating of all operations and product manuals, ongoing marketing and promotional assistance, the Neighbourhood News newsletter and its innovative Edge Program. The Arrow’s Edge Program is specifically designed to give our operators the competitive advantage necessary in today’s marketplace. The Edge focuses on relationship marketing techniques, supplier relations and product knowledge, service theatre and a comprehensive quality assurance program to assist you in achieving your goals as a Licensed Publican. The Arrow targets its marketing and promotional efforts to providing highly professional, cost-efficient and effective tools to help create brand awareness at the national, as well as the neighbourhood level. The Group continues to engage suppliers with exciting co-promotions and new product launches. Locally crafted products are frequently reviewed and evaluated to ensure existing menu items and recipes are continually enhanced. The Group has developed a
novel approach to its overall corporate governance in the form of the Arrow’s
"Co-op Council" which is comprised of Licensed Publicans from each pub
location. The Council actively participates in key decision-making areas
such as supplier selection, training programs and marketing. The strength
of this co-operative culture in the company is that it ensures the Arrow
is kept current and relevant to the customer.
The AccoladesThe Arrow Neighbourhood Pub Group has won numerous awards and garnered praise from the press throughout Ontario. In November 1999 The Globe and Mail praised our Guelph pub for its treatment of traditional real ales. "A special secret… perhaps
the friendliest place in town."
"Canadian brewers and chefs
are winning international awards. But we also need pubs and bistros that
